With the straw flipped down and the lid locked, it stays shut in a bag or a stroller basket. Left open, or tipped upside down while your toddler is drinking, water can come out of the straw like any straw cup.

Pull it apart: dome, fish, lid, straw, silicone tip and cup. Rinse under the tap or put the pieces in the top rack of the dishwasher. Let everything dry before you put it back together. A straw brush comes in the spare-parts pack.

Water and cold drinks only. Warm or hot liquids build pressure in a closed cup and can spray out of the straw. Juice and milk are fine if you rinse it soon after.
